This is a true story that may seem unbelievable to some people. I talked with a home owner the other day to see if they were still interested in selling their home. Now that may seem like a pretty simple thing most Agents may do BUT the reason I was calling is because the listing for their home had expired and had been expired for two days. Now for those that may not know, a good Agent would have already had conversations with thier Client about this long before the experation date came. They would have discussed future strategy for selling or who knows what else but the point is they would be having some discussion long before the experation date. Well, this home owner had no idea the listing had expired! I think you can see the problem. That would have never happened if a good Agent had that listing.
In the bustling world of real estate, having a proactive real estate agent can significantly impact the sale of your property. While it might seem like every agent would stay on top of their listings, many homeowners would be shocked to learn that consistent communication is not the norm in the industry. Here's why it's crucial to work with an agent who is not only dedicated but also actively involved in your listing.
First and foremost, a committed agent ensures that your property remains a priority. This means they are strategically marketing your home, reaching out to potential buyers, and keeping your listing fresh in a competitive market. An agent who regularly updates you on market trends, feedback from showings, and buyer interest is crucial because they provide you with the information needed to make timely, informed decisions.
Secondly, consistent communication with your realtor builds a transparent and trusting relationship. You’re likely to have many questions and concerns throughout the selling process, and having an agent who actively addresses these can alleviate the stress and uncertainty that often accompanies a property sale. An agent's willingness to stay in regular contact demonstrates their commitment not only to the sale but also to you as a client.
Finally, in an industry where surprising numbers of agents fail to maintain regular contact, choosing one who does can set your experience apart. It can mean the difference between a property that languishes on the market and one that sells quickly.
In summary, while many agents might not maintain active communication, those who do are invaluable. They keep your listing dynamic, provide transparency, and ultimately support a successful and efficient sale. When choosing a realtor, prioritize their enthusiasm and dedication to ensure your property gets the attention it deserves.
